Brother's keeper-
(this may be lengthy).. Last night my client came home from the hospital after being there over a week from respiratory failure. Of course it snowed over 3 inches last night and NC isn't great on plowing. I ended up staying overnight last minute to make sure she was safe during her first night back home. I left this morning to go home and feed my cats since I did not leave them enough food due to not knowing I was not coming home. A few hours later I went to leave to go back and start my normal "shift" with her. I couldn't get out of my complex...again, they don't plow here. I then made some calls to her family to make sure I found a way to get her someone to take care of her today. One of her family members asked in an annoyed fashion, "why did you leave?" I said, I had to. I wasn't even planning on staying overnight in the first place. I ended up finding someone to get there to her...and as soon as I hung up the phone I saw the post on Telegram on My brother's keeper. Perfect timing! I took it as you can't do everything for everyone, but you can try to be there for them and do your best. That's what I did. Again, impeccable timing! Thanks for the word, even though it wasn't for anyone specific. It helped!
